Amateur Radio Classes & Testing
WCRA has volunteer instructors that teach classes to prepare prospective hams for the Technician class license exam, and current hams for the General class license exam.
Morse code is not required for any of the ham licenses.
Licensing exams are offered throughout the year by the WCRA VE Team. Contact Steve Peterson, N9OA and Tim Wheeler, KC9YFI for more info.
Upcoming Technician Class Training and License Examination
We are going to have VE sessions following each meeting.
Exams are fee, but all attendees must have an FRN before entering the facility. No exceptions. The club does not offer technical support in obtaining an FRN.
Since it is a secure facility:
- The session is open to all who attend the meeting.

If you didn’t pass the test at one of our classes or just wanted to wait until you were more prepared, exam sessions occurring periodically throughout the year by the WCRA VE TEAM. Contact Steve Peterson, N9OA for more info.
