We, the Executive Board of WCRA, have elected to defer the dropping of any members for non-payment of dues until June 7, 2024 at the adjournment of the meeting.
The topic of the Annual Club meeting in April will include discussion about the future of the club in the absence of interest in filling roles of the Executive Board, Repeater Board, and Committee positions. The club will discuss how to move forward, the potential to re-organize, up to and including the potential folding of the club. The club, as it stands now, is not healthy, nor is it sustainable. We have been running short of a Vice-President on the Executive Board for a year and a half, and 2 members of the Repeater Board for a full year. Without nominations for the 4 Board positions up for elections, it is impossible to move forward.
Therefore, legal notice of at least 10 days is hereby given, as a formality, regarding the discussion of potential dissolution or reorganization of the corporation to be heard at the scheduled Annual Business Meeting, April 5th, 2024.
Club Elections will table place at the annual meeting in April
Positions up for election are President, Secretary and Property Custodian. Along with a special election for Vice President

At First Glance
Wheaton Community Radio Amateurs, Inc. was founded in 1948. We are a group of amateur radio operators who promote the advancement of the hobby and science of amateur radio through:
- member participation in training and testing of new amateur operators;
- providing local communications infrastructure via repeaters;
- supporting local emergency services with secondary communications;
- and offering communications support for many local charitable and social groups.
WCRA is involved in all facets of Amateur Radio, supporting the healthy growth of the hobby through diversification and participation. If this sounds like a group you’d be interested in joining, then come to one of our events or meetings and see what kind of folks we really are.
Our Mission Statement
The mission of the Wheaton Community Radio Amateurs is to further the art of radio communications and electronics by mentoring anyone with like interests, participating in community events, preparedness in assisting in the event of a disaster where other communication modes can fail, while promoting social camaraderie among its members.
